This Milwaukee RedLithium™ XC5.0 Extended Capacity Battery Pack gives you approximately 2.5 times greater run time, around 20% higher power and 2 times longer life than the basic 18V lithium-ion batteries. The M18 RedLithium XC5.0 includes superior pack construction, electronics and performance to produce greater work per charge and higher amount of work over the life of the pack. The progressive design defends the pack against tough jobsite situations, directing water away from the electronics and out the battery pack. Lengthens operation time and life by reducing heat and avoids pack failure from vibration or drops. The exclusive Milwaukee design also enables the battery to function in extreme cold weather environments (0° to -18°F). RedLink Intelligence includes overload defense to avert any damage to cordless power tools in heavy-duty circumstances, while discharge defense avoids cell damage. These batteries are fully compatible with any of the M18 cordless power tool.
